This is amazing for hard floors. Have it and love it. Not for carpet but amazing at what it does

There is not a next model. This is the only model that it's special Omni head fits on, and the head is doing most of the work, not the suction.

You either benefit from this because you're cleaning hard surfaces? Or you're better off using another vacuum. Not sure why so many people get angry over purchasing a hard-floor vacuum and not enjoying its carpet or upholstered performance.

last time i considered this vacuum, the replacement battery was very expensive for this model as there are no third party ones.

How does this compare to the hard floor attachment that's made for the normal Dyson stick vacuums? We have one of the normal ones, which was awesome at our old house, but this house we're renting now has nothing but hardwoods.

Agree. I bought this when during the last deal for the same price. It's so easy and fun to use that even my wife uses it 😁

I have a V8 with all the attachments and this Omniglide. The V8 suction power is much greater, but it is heavy and awkward to use when compared to the Omni. And you don't really need that much suction power for hardwood.

I recently purchased this omniglide for the same deal from Walmart. It is great as many describe, capturing much more off solid surfaces than broom and dustpan. It is very light and handy with plenty of suction to do the job. The rollers do a great job and very mobile. We do have a small house, <2000 sq ft and use it in place of broom and dustpan.
The major downside is the small canister than needs to be emptied frequently. With the fuzz and hair, this often requires using your hands to pull out the debris. We regret our purchase for this reason alone and are considering other models. The rollers also need to be cleaned frequently from hair.

Specs sound like a repackaged v6.

Ordered 100,000 too many v6 motors that no one wants anymore? No problem put them In a "hardwood specific" vacuum and people will gladly waste their money.

The V6 is bigger, louder, and a lot heavier

I have the Dyson V7 which is similar to this in some ways.
Good for small things. But if you pickup anything that's bigger than an inch square like a piece of part it gets stuck inside the rod, or where the rod connects to the can, or in the can next to the inlet etc. removing it is a pain.
I hate that I have to clean the filters frequently. And it never seems to work like when it was new.
I'd give it a 2.5 out of 5.

I've owned this since Christmas 2021. It's great for hard surfaces as it's intended to be used as a broom. Basically wherever you see dust or debris, suck it up.

My complaint is the handle which holds the battery is too wide. I would love to see a 2nd generation which the battery pack is denser so that the handle is thinner like a broom.

How long did your first battery last for this vacuum?

I have a v10.

Should I just keep using the v10?

(Most of my floors are hardwood)

decided not to buy the vacuum because of the battery price. batteries typically last about 300~500 charge cycles on average so you can probably calculate how long it would last depending on how often you would use it.

This is a major point for any battery operated vacuum. Everyone should always make sure there are cheap battery replacements before buying an expensive cordless vacuum.
