This is amazing for hard floors. Have it and love it. Not for carpet but amazing at what it does

There is not a next model. This is the only model that it's special Omni head fits on, and the head is doing most of the work, not the suction.

You either benefit from this because you're cleaning hard surfaces? Or you're better off using another vacuum. Not sure why so many people get angry over purchasing a hard-floor vacuum and not enjoying its carpet or upholstered performance.

This one is neat and works well and I would have kept it but my wife told me to return it because "it's a weak piece of shit". Since the purpose of it was that it would be small and easier to use but because she complained of its weakness then that proves that the v8 is not too big or too heavy. So I sent it back. At the end of the day it does what it set out to do well and was oddly satisfying to switch on and off. Also youll like it if you dont enjoy having to pull the trigger continuously on other Dysons.
Weird! She said the same things about you the other day over dinner

decided not to buy the vacuum because of the battery price. batteries typically last about 300~500 charge cycles on average so you can probably calculate how long it would last depending on how often you would use it.
I have a cell phone that I've charged every day from near dead for the past four years, might be only a tad weaker.

Can you put the laser head on the Omni glide?

Also, is the Omni glide ok for stairs (hardwood)?

Returned it to Walmart after trying it out for a week. The portability and maneuverability were definitely very nice. However, the small bin, low power and hair tangling was not great.

I made the decision to return after trying out the motorized mini tool to clean my car. Dust flew everywhere and clung to the tool and main vacuum body. Needed to empty the bin multiple times per side of the car (although my car might've just been dirty). Overall felt less useful/powerful than a $30-40 Black&Decker handheld vacuum while sounding/blowing louder.

Is this really that bad to keep going on sale for nearly half price?

I'll stick with my $98 Tineco until it dies, as it does a great job for me.

I want to know how Dyson tricked me into buying 3 vacuums in the last 10 years and justify a $300 fan. I'm not falling for the laser gimmick. The non tangle hair tech seems cool though.

just an FYI if you already have a Dyson you can buy an aftermarket "omni glide" head and its basically the same thing if not better depeding on your motor

edit - this is the one I got (no affiliate link) and I really love it. if you have hard floors this is good for sucking up the big stuff then use a dust mop after it and your floors will be perfet

The laser is amazing on the D15. It does show dirt that you don't realize is there. I sprinkled some salt on the floor and with the laser you could see every grain of it.
