at Sofi, you can make easy $25 for just opening account and another $300 with 5k DD. No minimum opening deposit, no minimum balance requirement, and now no fees. you can close your account at anytime. lot of perks like onetime $5 credit if you use debit card over $25, free check book, etc.
Alas, I was unable to open an account with them. Hopefully no one else has run into this issue, since it's a great deal.

I have Sofi and also mybankingdirect. Sofi is 100% is better and I feel safe.
Unsure. Already opened one with a similar bonus years ago. When I logged in and tried to do this particular promo, I received this message:
"Sorry, we aren't able to open a new account for you.
Thank you for your interest in Banking. We are unable to open a new account for you at this time. If you have any questions, you can chat with support."
