Not bad. I'd bite if it came with a MaxOutput battery or a 4aH battery, but I'll just wait for a Direct Tools Outlet deal at this price.

Id rather have tool/light only for $29. Anyone waiting for a DTO deal will be waiting long time for the deal plus the loooong ship delays.. An order placed 6/30/22 still has not shipped from DTO.

Indeed! DTO has been slipping over the past few years. Excessive shipping times -- as in a retro-throwback to the olden days of "6-8 Weeks". You know, I'd actually be HAPPY to get DTO's shipments in just 6-8 weeks.

And they're charging an ever-increasing amount for shipping -- it's now $15/order. Instead of just absentmindedly typing in my credit card for something that catches my fancy, I'm sitting here thinking about my orders with them more and more. "That $20 refurb tool is actually $35. At HD, it's brand new at $40-45. And I don't have to wait 6+ weeks for it from HD."

And their prices aren't all that appealing anymore. If they narrow the delta between refurb and new, what incentive is there to buy anything other than new?

DTO, and their shipping partners are not immune to sky-high inflation and outrageous gas prices. You pay $15.00 shipping whether you spend $25, $250 or $2,500. It's all relative.

So that's why it takes 6-8+ weeks to actually receive my order, because of inflation? I don't mind paying for shipping, BUT BE REASONABLE about it. Don't charge me more than literally every other tool seller out there when I'm dropping $25, $250, or $2,500....but give me service from the 1950s.

Shipping delays for some are a different matter, but overall prices are as good as they've ever been. DTO never ran crazy sales 24/7, Their crazy sales have always been sporadic. I 've spent over $1,000 @ DTO this summer and have saved around 50% over Home Depot prices. If you're only going to buy one cheap tool or if you're in a hurry then maybe DTO isn't for you. On the other hand, claiming the savings aren't there is just not true at all. The savings are insane when you catch the crazy sales and the more you buy the more insane the deals are.

Yeah I have the basic ridgid torch light and use that the most, it used to be $20 I thought. I also have the 'snake light' and it sucks. I feel like 18v light addons should be dirt cheap. I'd love the 'light cannon' they make, but they want some absurd amount of money for it.

I resisted, but you quoting me made me look again! LMAO

I already have 3 other lights (Ridgid and Ryobi) and some other handheld lights for smaller spaces.
