Also me: "Oh Briggs and Stratton motor? She'll work."

Problem with a lot of the these machines is you have a decent engine and crappy transmission that runs the self-propelled part. That part fails and you then have a heavy push mower to deal with after a couple years use.

Pass on this. I've had one for 2 years. It's not good. Mower struggles cutting grass that's not very high. The toro I had before this was much better. It lasted 10 years. I will be going back to toro in the near future.
I have some near by, and I am in need of a replacement, but damn the reviews are bad. I think I'd rather have a bad engine than a bad drive system, and the reviews make the self propelled feature sound fragile.
I bought the toro space saver as update my old toro. It is on its 2nd year and works great. No oil change engine has me scratching my head. You just keep adding oil... seems like "engineered" replacement every few years.
Better than Husqvarna?
I haven't had any issues with the RWD, it's not covered and it will get clogged with grass if you aren't careful, all due to them not providing a cover.
It seems like they bought all of the parts from a generic manufacturer and just spray painted them orange. The deck and other pieces look identical to ones used by mtd and the like.
