This is a rare discount on a fantastic keyboard, but if you have an Apple Silicon machine, consider getting the version with Touch ID even though it's a lot more expensive, it's life-changing.

This is the prior generation Magic Keyboard 2.

The Magic Keyboard was updated alongside the iMac in 2021 with a slight redesign (rounded corners, alternate keys see F1-12 row) and includes a braided USB-C to Lightning cable instead of to the older standard USB-A to Lightning. Alongside this the Magic Trackpad, and Magic Mouse received similar slight redesigns and a Magic Keyboard with Touch ID was launched.

Personally, I love Apple's designs but they have some lame choices with keyboards and mice (like the way you can't use the Magic Mouse while it charges…).

I returned this after hating the lack of backlight at night, and got the similar Logitech MX Keys. Same price and sale pricing, but with more features. I can't live without backlit keys.

That's cool man. Be careful with that though, that definitely is a security risk when using your laptop in a public place. Touch ID is safer.

I've been using this same keyboard on a daily basis for the past seven years, ever since I bought my iMac (which i still also use daily and on which I'm typing this comment). Especially if you are going to use the apple trackpad, which I also do use, this keyboard is a perfect companion. They exactly match in color, height and width. And the keyboard itself - i have not had a single dropped connection or issue. Maybe if I was doing a ton of typing I would consider something else, but for just regular typing for non-work use, there's no better option IMO (for an apple product, to be clear; unless you want the keyboard with the num pad; i personally prefer this smaller size).
