I bought this a year ago and returned it. It's trash. Mushy keys. The bt was flakey. Sometimes it wouldn't want to wake up so I'd need to re-sync it again.

I ended up going with the surface keyboard model WS2-00025. A year in and it's still working great. Good key presses. Excellent bt. It's more expensive but worth the investment. It's on sale for $70 on amazon.
Is this the model that many users report losing their bluetooth connection frequently and typing occasionally lags?
yup. read their reviews. make sure to load them all. bestbuy is smart enough to filter out those or pushed them to the back.

numpad wont work with android device either.

No mention of switch type anywhere, does this keyboard actually have mechanical switches?

Apparently all the wireless and Bluetooth keyboards have issues with extra key presses or keys not registering occasionally. I ordered the more recent Microsoft ergonomic wired keyboard from 2019 so I wouldn't have to worry about that. Used the Discover discount on it also.

Looked like a nice keyboard until I saw a dedicated Office key and an emoji key on the keyboard. Why remove the Windows key for an Office key???

This is clearly not a mechanical keyboard. Come on man.

95% of my home PC use is couch based. Bluetooth devices are highly unreliable and inconsistent. You want a dongle based device.

I've had this for a year and actually love the keyboard. I have had zero issues and like the feel of the keys for my work computer. I have a mechanical keyboard for gaming but the Microsoft keyboard is quiet and great for work. The mouse is 100% loud and trash.

The keyboard does not have a mechanical feel
