Can typically get them in standard grip around this price in the 10". In cobras I prefer standard to comfort grip anyways.

Still a good deal if you want the alligators though.

I think they're for different uses. I use this one specifically for my pool equipment. A lot of plastic fittings that are like 2-4 inches wide that I use this to tighten to loosen. This goes into the water and has not rusted in the last couple of years.

Depends what your general usage will be. Longer handle means more leverage. If you don't anticipate small cramped spaces, 10" is better. Decent deal, it's been a little cheaper before but still a deal.

Can you please share a link to the 6" one you're talking about? I'm currently looking for a shorter set to use in a tight spot.

Is there any advantage to these over the cobras?

Vastly different uses. If you're going to use this for general plumbing work around the house, then you're probably better off with this - longer, greater leverage, won't fit into tight spaces the way the 6" will. This has a grooved lip, so it's ideal for something like a water pump, whereas the 6" is smooth and is better for loosening bolts.

Can't agree with this more. I love the Cobra style; super versatile, incredible amount of adjustments, and very easy to use on the fly.

The 7 inch is .9 cheaper than the 6 inch at $28 (standard grip)

They make soft jaw cobras that are amazing for plumbing. Doesn't mar fixtures.
