It is weird. My local Chipotle adjusts prices up for Grubhub but does not do it for Doordash. I have no idea why.So when Doordash runs a $5 off no minimum I get a burrito for $4. The same thing with Grubhub $5 off $10 cost me double, $8.
Is it actually the same store? I have one local McDonald's that has a 25% markup and the other has none. DoorDash defaults to the pricier store while GrubHub offers the option to switch to the other store.
That's one feature of DoorDash that annoys me. They don't make it easy to pick a different store location. It always defaults to the closest location from the chosen address.

What I have learned is that these deals are a YMMV. There are some real bargains to be had if you play the system.

It's definitely weird and definitely inconsistent across restaurants and even across the same one cross-platform for chains. I give zero Fs using these for corporate chains like Chipotle but try hard not to for local mom and pop shops but when they're $10/$20 as I get or the common $10/$15 from the last few years, it's hard not to.

Since this is a grubhub promotion and not restaurant-specific, GH is eating the cost of the coupon and the restaurant gets full reimbursement, so this logic makes no sense.
