Let's get these covered:

One of the top 2.5" SSDs
Has DRAM
5 years warranty
Lower TBW than other brands (but would you ever even reach the limit?)
For older devices that cannot support NVMe

Fakes on Amazon? Maybe, but I have yet to come across anyone who actually bought a fake. Even though the threads are full of warnings about rampant fakes on Amazon, it is always second hand experience. Does it happen from time to time? Sure, but the threads make it sound like every purchase will be a fake. Use Crystal Disk Mark to check the speed if you are really concerned.

Depends on how much storage you need.

If you only have one SATA port, I would get the 1TB SSD, but then again, I have about 600-700GB of data on my device.

If you have two SATA ports available, I would get one of these (it would be cheaper since you could go with the 500GB) and keep the HDD. You would have more storage that way. Make the SSD your boot and application drive for faster boot/program initialization times. The HDD can be for pictures or movies that aren't used as often.

As far as the bracket, you might need one. Not sure if your AIO has a 2.5" HDD or not. If it does then you'll be fine with just buying the SSD with no bracket.
Unfortunately, the AIO has only one SATA port, I think. I will have to confirm though. Since this an AIO, I am pretty sure there is only one. Maybe I will have to replace the DVD writer with one of these. The writer is very sketchy anyhow, wasted too many discs due to errors!!
Thanks for the insights! Repped!

Just starting Grad school and needed to revive my 7 year old Inspiron 7000. The cloning tool took some work but I was able to successfully install and swap the old hybrid drive that was taking forever to boot things. It's pretty snappy now. Just looking for a compatible 16gb stick now

We use these as HDD replacements in older PCs pretty regularly. These drives perform well for the price.
The Acronis software you can download and use with them is okay (used it a few times to test) but honestly Macrium Reflect Free is more flexible and reliable if you are able to understand the slightly more complicated interface vs Acronis.

Folks. I picked up the MX500 and want to replace my 120GB SSD boot drive. A couple of questions:

1. The box it came in is made of rather thin paper with minimum cushion. Is that I should expect for a top tier SSD?

2. What software do you use to migrate? I am thinking using good old GParted boot on a USB.
