Our local Costco fills tanks. It's substantially cheaper than the tank exchanges. Especially considering the tank exchanges also only partially fill the tanks, putting 15 pounds of propane in a 20 pound (standard grill size) tank.

I watched a video about filling a 5 pound from a 20 pound. Requires a special hose. I have not been able to find it online but I did not look too hard. You would need at least one male end similar to the hose used at the propane filling station.

I'd just get a 20lbs. tank and use that to fill this one.

Uhaul would charge $4 a gallon (~4lbs.), and Walmart will sell you a Blue Rhino 20lbs. tank for a $20 exchange.
