Has anyone ever had an issue with the police while transporting bikes using a rack like this? I notice that nearly all of the hitch mount bike racks, regardless of design, all tend to cover the rear license plate entirely.
I know the law is normally that you are not supposed to block your rear plate for any reason but I see people running around with cargo carriers, bike racks, mobility scooter carriers, etc. all the time. Is this just a loosely-enforced law in most places?
I've been waiting for a sale on these platform racks for some time. There was a sale on Saris equipment a few weeks ago but I was not sold on their support so I didn't bite. I think this is a great deal and I'm going to jump on this one.
Thanks, OP!
