I got the 6a for free (Xfinity Mobile) and I wouldn't recommend it. Had to disable 5G to prevent constantly heating up. Wifi-calling doesn't connect automatically without toggling Airplane Mode. Fingerprint scanner is very slow and inconsistent. Battery life just barely makes it through the day. Fast charging is significantly slower than my old Moto G. Google's support answer is to just send you another refurbished model if you have a problem. No way I'd pay $400 for this phone.

12 MONTH, 4GB PLAN cost $90. Does it mean 4 GB data each month with unlimited talking minutes for 12 month?
Mints 4GB plan is $15 per month. With taxes, it comes out to about $200 for the year. Been using Mint for 3 years now. Happy with it. I have some friends still paying $60 to $80 a month for their service. I honestly don't see much difference in performance/ reliability. At least not enough to justify spending that much more.

Can I use the mint SIM in a different phone for 12 months? Will the Pixel still be unlocked after 12 months?

The real question is... what's the deadline to have the number to port in and activated? I didn't see that anywhere

If you are looking for a one-year plan this is very good deal. only $120 for 10GB/month. phone itself is $240. I just ordered a samsung s22 from google fi, otherwise I would go for this.

Yes, that is correct. 4 GB per month of data, unlimited talk and text every month.

Pixel 6a better than S22? 6gb ram seems to be a concern. Not sure of other issues. I was most galaxy user and old nexus user.
The S22 is a much better phone, comparable to the full-flavored Pixel 6.

6a is a cheaper version they release about a year after the "real" Pixel 6 comes out. It's a more stripped down version, more equivalent to a Samsung FE ("Fan Edition") or a iPhone SE (which I believe stands for "Still Expensive")

The 6a is known to have a modem weaknesses that could be compounded by weak service

"To test cellular performance, we drove to an area with questionable T-Mobile coverage (a mix of LTE 4G and 5G) and compared the signal quality between the Pixel 6a and the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G. We know from our previous research that the Pixel 6 uses a Samsung modem, and the 6a has the same underlying hardware. The 6a didn't perform as well as the A53 in our tests. Regardless of carrier, if you live in an area with questionable cell signal and want to maximize the chances of holding onto a connection, the Samsung Galaxy A53 is likely the better pick.

The unlocking policy is stupid. If one is paying the money upfront why does one need to wait a year to unlock the phone? Mint has its money either way so it seems like a pointless restriction.

My current billing has not expired yet. Can I buy this and activate it about a month from now? Or you need to activate this by 9/7?

Also does anyone know if mint mobile ties the sim card to the phone IMEI? Can I use this sim card on a different phone and still eligible to unlock this phone after using the sim on another phone?

Great deal but I need at least a 6.5 inch screen. Also I've had bad luck with TMobile MVNOs. They de-prioritize bigtime. I only do AT&T MVNOs. Red Pocket is excellent. CS and app just so so but dang, I always get a fast speeds and signals everywhere using their gsma sim.
