no roaming. It disconnected me while I was approaching Canadian border from alexandria bay (and no singal until I am back in the US)

They have a roaming account you can add funds to, and then use foe international calls/data. Worked for me in mexico. Somewhere on their site they specify the international rates.
08-21-2022 at 09:57 AM
You can by adding money into your "international wallet", which is separate from your normal wallet that pays for your monthly subscription. But roaming rates are expensive. You can go here to check the rate per country: https://www.mintmobile.com/features/international-roaming/. From what I found, there's only two basic rates: North America (Canada, Mexico) and everybody else. North America roaming is reasonable, but everywhere else is quite expensive.

I roamed in Iceland recently and put $5 into my international wallet (however, they also charged me an additional $2 in fees, so the total charge was $7 for that $5 credit). I used it to make a few local phone calls, which was handy, but data rates are ridiculously expensive and not worth it (I bought a local prepaid SIM that we used for data). Any unused money in your international wallet stays there forever, so I now I have a $3.50 credit in my international account which I may never use again.

It worked for me when I was in India last month. You just need to make sure to activate WIFI calling and you are good to go.

I think you need to port out for 45 days to be considered as a new customer. The easier way is to switch to boost mobile, they have the 3 month new customer deal that's only for $30

Yes it does but your phone is locked so you wont able to other sim on your empty sim slot until it is unlocked in 12 months

You have 45 days to activate once you receive the SIM, per their web site: https://www.mintmobile.com/how-it-works/activation/

Just a heads up, at least in the Midwest, Mint service is horrible. I have had two different phones with them and it is a regular occurrence that I will have signal, but no data. I'm guessing it is because T-Mobile's towers are overloaded and Mint is last in priority.
I was dumb enough to sign up for 12 months with Mint and I'm counting down the days and only have one month left before I can switch back to Total Wireless.
Where at in the MW? I'm in Kalamazoo, MI and surrounding area; it's wonderful here.

4GB a month is a joke unless you're always on a Wi-Fi network.
Not bad for a burner phone

So your experience alone is an accurate representation of the entire MW? It always amazes me how some people's thinking works on certain issues…

If you just want the phone, buy a pixel 3a with a cracked screen and trade it in

Not a bad deal if you was in the market for 1 year of prepaid service. $250 for the phone and $90 for 1 year of prepaid service.
Where can I get 90$ 1 yrs Mint mobile plan, without phone

This phone getting price drops every other week. This good deal, but do your research on the phone first.

I believe that plan is 180, not 90.
180 for unlimited data, the 4GB is 90
