After trying many spring or clamp type phone mounts, this was by far the best option. Very solid but folds very flat for travel. I use it with a gorilla pod mini.
Back then phones were pretty poor in low light. Probably not quite as necessary now unless you have a specific use case such as long expoures, stop action, etc.
