I think that's a little too harsh. For the average joe, this will likely still beat out any sound bar in the $300-400 range.

For $70 more you're better off with the 809/803/83 package from Adorama, well worth the extra money. IMO

so moses did that a couple months ago? cause thats when i got mine for that price

jamo is made by klipsch. so its good for the person that is not impressed with soundbars and wants a full setup on a small budget.

FYI...Erin's Audio Corner (YouTube) has been ripping Jamo speakers a new one lately. Lol. He has positively reviewed a Jamo subwoofer in the past. He does subjective listening and measures with a $100k device.

Id recommend that over this jamo set imo.
One is not like the other. That's a satellite speaker setup vs the jamo set being a fuller 5.0 setup. The satellite's are going to sound brighter similar to Bose brand however it lacks definition in the mid and lower ends.

It really depends on your room dimensions and size. For a small apt or living room I agree w/ your suggestion. However for someone with a single family home or a elongated/fuller living room. The jamo's are going to be a better choice overall.

yes with more space and average joe needs to spend $300-$350 more for a cheap receiver, speaker stands etc.
