I have the half off deal, and I am honestly having a hard time justifying that. I haven't watched anything on HBO/MAX for a couple of months.

Euphoria is a horrible show. Teaching kids to literally be promiscuous, prostitution, and even selling sex online. Way to go
All I've heard is that the show is so farked up that it would scare people from doing that stuff not emulate it. But I'm an adult, so who knows?

Cancel current, use new email just like new customer. Thats what I did.
If you're currently an annual subscriber (mine expires next month) do you have to wait for the subscription to expire before attempting this deal?

HBOmax would be better if they didn't screw up the endings of their best shows. Have they done ONE well? Westworld's recent season ender was just awful. No time to go down the list. All said, they do have my favorite collection of great "sleepers for insomniacs". Pick one; 10 minutes and I'm out cold.
FWIW, Westworld is an HBO show that's available on HBOmax.

When I try click on this offer, HBO tells me that my plan is billed through my xfinity cable plan. Does anyone have any suggestions for changing this? I would prefer to keep my account as is and pay the bill separately, so I don't want to cancel and start over. I also have this same issue with Netflix and I don't want to lose my history.

I already hate calling Comcast as it is, so I'd love it if someone could help me out.

Just signed up. Pleasantly surprised that Nathan Fielder had a new series, "The Rehearsal." Pretty funny so far

The TCM channel alone is worth the money.

I also have a one year subscription and as soon as I subscribed, there stopped being anything good to watch. Can you get any of your money back, if you cancel an annual subscription mid- year?

If you currently get billed through Apple, they don't have these deals. Anybody know how to "unhook" billing through Apple and get in on this?

Yes. It won't let you re-up until your subscription has ended. You could technically make a new account but you'd likely just be throwing money away since I don't believe there's a way to put a subscription on hold like Hulu.

For subscriptions, one trick is to keep 2 dedicated email addresses. I use 2 outlook accounts ending in subs1 and subs2 so I can switch when a good deal comes up. You'll lose out on a consistent watch list and history, but the savings makes up for it.

Is HBO Max pretty strict about sharing? Or can multiple users watch at the same time across different devices?
