Existing customers can't take advantage of the offer. They have to be new or returning customers.

At the least, you will have the let your subscription expire to maybe be eligible.

So, for example, if you have cancelled your subscription renewal but recently paid for a month from September 29th to October 29th and are still enjoying your benefits, you might have to wait until after October 29th when your service officially ends to be qualified as a "returning" customer and be eligible for this deal.

Unfortunately, for those us who have already paid for a month of service, which the duration of doesn't end until after the deal is over, cannot take advantage of this deal, regardless of whether he have cancelled the recurring subscription.

Even then, I'm not sure if you would be eligible, but that's just my guess. Though I definitely know that you are not eligible if your subscription service is still active, as I have tried this with my account.

My son likes: Sesame Street Mecha Builders and I’ve been enjoying the Not too Late show with Elmo. They have all of Sesame Street too. Esme and Roy is good too.

Would rate kids content as lower than Hulu, Netflix and Prime Video and probably even Paramount Plus. Studio Ghibli and some odd scattering of animated movies. They technically have Blippi and some other stuff which is also available on youtube. Sesame Street is the only major one I see.

You can't extend your current HBO subscription. I called customer service and confirmed that this deal is for only new and returning customers (i.e. people who already cancelled their subscription). If you want to take advantage of promotion, have to call them to cancel and get partial refund. And then apply for the promotion.

NVM. After clicking on the link there is a tiny option hiding in the upper right hand corner permitting me to sign in. When I did I had an option to select my subscription. The discounted annual subscription was there.

$70 is with ads just to note.
Worth it with Amex $25 offer?
I have the half off deal, and I am honestly having a hard time justifying that. I haven't watched anything on HBO/MAX for a couple of months.

How do they check? Just use new credit card?
Not sure how they check.. the rk10 terms say "Cash Back can only be earned on the initial subscription"..
.. i suggest to just follow the HBO link on rk10 and sign-up for a new HBO account (shouldn't matter which credit card u use)

Agree. Mine just expired. Not planning on renewing. I was expecting more hbo movies to release. Not worth the price imo

Only a few days left so I pulled the trigger on this one. In browsing the content, I am not overly excited about long term HBO MAX. The DC Universe content is weak. There are a small number of originals I am interested in, but certainly enough to keep me occupied a few months. Added a reminder to my calendar for mid-Oct 2023 to cancel as I can't see paying $150/year for this.

There are a lotta great shows on hbo max, despite the negativity of this thread

I don't care about movies, but here's some good tv, imo:

Most recently I loved Tokyo Vice (american journalist investigates yakuza crime drama), the latest season of Westworld, the Taika Watiti comedy Our Flag Means Death (very silly pirate show), The Flight Attendant (Kaley Cuoco comedy thriller), and Barry (dark comedy).

Looking forward to the new GoT show and (much later) the new Dune tv show
It's worth having just to rewatch The Wire and The Sopranos!

My $7.50/mo HBO Max promo expired last month, so very happy to get another year for $8.75/mo. There is easily enough good content on the service to justify that price, way better than what Netflix offers for $20/mo.

I definitely agree, but just FYI there are a few ways to get Netflix for cheaper (I'm not sure if they are allowed to be discussed here though). I would never pay full price for either but HBO has a much better movie selection IMO. Quality over quantity.

Ok well been using the AD version for last day and only seen 1 AD first time I opened new GOT show so don't seem so bad.
Now the bad is only 1080p on 4K TV tho tbh gotta look really close and have 20/20 vision to tell diff.
The worse is no HDR at all apparently. I expected to get some HDR since Amazon and others provide HDR even on 1080p movies and shows?
Also, can't download anything --which is really handy--if you want to watch on tablet with no internet connection Mad
Dunno might cancel and just go with monthly for full experience when I really want to watch something that's only on HBO.
