You pay for local dimming on this set and get a crappy implementation of it. Instead of fixing that from the "A" model, they just perpetuated the issue. You will regret this TV if your primary use case is nighttime use or movie viewing at night. Otherwise, have at it.
I wish Samsung would just bite the bullet and add Dolby Vision to their TVs. I would've gotten a TV from them (instead I just recently opted for the LG) a long time ago due to these EDU/EPP deals.
I do have a Neo G9 and love the brightness/mini LED tho but it seems like this specific model is a step down/isn't the typical where it has tons of bloom/bad local dimming.

So picky... I don't see anything wrong with the 80A. Everyone that visits our house compliments it. Dark is good enough... Really good colors, best angles and super bright when it's sunny
