Aside from power consummption, same specs per samsung site
https://www.samsung.com/us/comput...7e2t0b-am/
https://www.samsung.com/us/busine...z-77e2t0e/
so I am guessing it is just different model number based on store so as to prevent price matching

This one is MZ-77E2T0E and every other retailer sells it as MZ-77E2T0B/AM. Whats the difference?

Might be a good time to replace one of them then, but I hear where you are coming from. Got Samsung 850 pro 1tb nvme as my main drive and a adata 2tb nvme for my secondary drive. Kinda wanna add a third but at this point I want a 4tb drive.

If you have any PCIe slots left, you can install a NVME PCIe adapter for additional NVME drives. Depending on your system config, they may run at x8 or x4 but that will still well outperform a SATA III drive. Even if you use an X1 slot, it'll still be nearly double the speed of SATA.

These SATA drives are basically a dying product on a dying interface.

This has always been overpriced relative to the comparable Crucial MX500. This brings it to the same price range. So, a good deal for a Samsung but bot necessarily a great deal overall.

The best of what a SATA SSD can be. Very power efficient for laptops that use SATA drives. Doesn't fall off a cliff for sustained writes for any practical use.

3bit MLC is just Samsung market speak for TLC.
