Im a guitarist that just took up bass (easy to pickup, hard to master) i was having trouble with my full sized music man, so i bought one of these for 200$ amazing deal and easy/fun to play for that price. An absolute STEAL at 139

Ah yes, all short scale instruments are a grand conspiracy by the manufacturers to scam children (and sometimes adults of short stature) into buying instruments that they can actually play comfortably.

Sarcasm towards this person aside, this is a great bass especially for the price. I paid $180 3 years ago and have been happy with it ever since.

Yeah, if they want to play bass. Two different instruments. Just making sure you realize it, can be confusing to someone at first.

Agreed. Similar scale length to guitar so it's easier to translate. Strings are really springy too so the slapz come in easily

This is a fantastic bass and a fantastic deal.

Just be aware that the P-J pickup arrangement doesn't have hum cancellation with the J pickup.

Also, these short-scale basses can fit in some guitar-sized gig bags, widening your choices for gig bags.

I picked up guitar and bass this year and recently cashed in my rewards towards a Kala Ubass. I highly recommend any one who enjoy bass try one out. Short scaled fun for hours.

This is a thoroughly wonderful bass. My son has been using one of these for 5 years. I've borrowed it for shows myself. It sounds decent, is light, and is super easy to play. As an Ibanez, it's trouble free!
