Have had my eye on these super crappy chrome books for awhile, for my 73 year old mother to check her gmail. That's literally all she would use it for. Might have to pull the trigger this time

My 85 year old mother uses this exact same Chromebook. I dropped off an older 15" 1080 Chromebook for her but she still prefers this 11 1/2" Lenovo way more. Everything about it is great except for the viewing angles of the TN screen. I guess it wouldn't be $79.00 if it had a 1080 display.

Can anyone confirm the auto update end of life on this? I am looking at the list on Googles page but can't confirm which model this is.


Nevermind, found this in QA: This Lenovo Chromebook 3 11 model number 82BA001FUS, will continue to receive Google Automatic updates through June 2027.

Pardon me. Senior citizens need to email more than before. Social Security Administration is using email to communicate with senior citizens. It is important for those who are not easily accessible to a physical mail box.
Health Insurance company prefer senior citizens to receive health info through email.
I have been helping senior citizens to setup email and I am surprised to know how technology affect seniors more than ever.

What's listed on woot seems to be grade B refurbished with scratch & dent. Also, in my experience, Lenovo's consumer line laptops seem to be better quality than HP's, especially for the lower ends.
