YMMV!!!

Here is the color-calibrated HP X32 icm profile via the Color Munki Display device. (124.29 cd/m2, 6511K, White point DeltaE 2000 at 0.25)
Need to change the color and image setting in the monitor for the proper color.
Menu > Color > Custom RGB > R 255, G 242, B 245
Menu > Image > Brightness 50, Contrast 80, Dynamic Contrast off, Black Stretch off, Sharpness Level 4
I try to upload in zip files in the attachment and it doesn't let me (error occurs). Instead, I use the DropBox link below.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/xgxyet1...X.zip?dl=0

For those who don't know what to do with the icm color profile.
You can add the color via the Display settings > Advanced Display Settings > Display Adapter properties for Display 1 > Color Management > Color Management > Check Box _ Use my settings for this device > Add > search for the files HP X32 icm profiles > OK > Set as Default profile > Done.
If the color of the profile is not to your liking just repeat the step above by resetting the monitor color setting and deleting the icm profiles on the computer.

Use this lagom.nl if want to know how good or bad it is. Because all monitor it is a little different.

Hope this help.

When you press any of the top four buttons (so any of the buttons except for the power button), a display shows on the right side of the screen. Pressing one of the four buttons while that display on the right side is active will activate that feature. From top to bottom, that display shows:
A box with lines
A box with a an arrow going towards the right
3 liquid droplets arranged in a triangle: Green, Red, Blue
What looks like a sun or light symbol

These indicate which button does what. The topmost button, indicated by the box with lines, is the menu button.

Turn off monitor using the power button.
While the monitor is powered off, hold the menu button down.
While holding the menu button down, press the power button, but do not hold it.
Once the HP logo shows up on screen, release the menu button.
Once the monitor fully turns on, press the menu button and access the menu. You'll note that the menu has a new option on the bottom left that is pre-selected in green: Service. Right off the bat it gives you the panel model number, the scaler, the FW Package Version, and the HW Revision.

Hope that helps.

It depends really, some gamers like to see the bigger pixels as it can be a competitive advantage when you're looking for 1 pixel to determine when someone's peeking in an FPS, but generally you want to be able to have a whole field of vision without moving your head left or right to take in everything going on. Curved screens are supposed to make this a little better, but I haven't had much experience with curved screens myself.

Otherwise, the other possible problem is pixel density which is a factor for making the content on the screen look better generally which might be more important for single-player non-competitive experiences. The bigger the screen, the higher the resolution you'd want so you don't see the pixels when you're taking in the experience (whether a game or movie); this can be partially alleviated by distancing your face away from the screen which is typically the case when you're watching TV or playing console games. For PC usage, you're generally pretty close to the monitor so the opportunity is higher that you'll be able to discern the pixels. The other downside is even if the monitor can push those higher resolutions, your hardware might require a significant upgrade to support it.

Back to pixel density, this monitor's PPI (pixels per inch) is 93. The Dell U2722D's (27-inch) is 109. As mentioned before, TVs tend to have lower PPI since it takes into account the distance most people would be from it, the LG OLED55C1PUB's (55-inch 4K) is 80 while the much bigger LG OLED83C1PUA's (83-inch 4K) is 53. The whole idea of TVs going 8K is to close that gap and make content look crisper for really large displays (if you stick your face close enough to the TV to make out the difference), so the LG OLED88Z2PUA's (88-inch 8K) is 101.

In contrast, most smartphones (because you're likely to stick it right in front of your face) have a much higher PPI, the Google Pixel 6 Pro's is 411.

For those of you who got your monitors already, are there any factory stickers, labels, wrappings, etc you had to remove from the monitor itself before using? Mine arrived today and it looks like an open box product. The factory tape was already cut and it looks like someone had already messed around with the monitor. The one unboxing video I saw showed some labels/stickers being attached to the monitor brand new, yet my monitor has no stickers or labels on it at all. It looks like the accessories are there, but I am still concerned they sent me a used monitor. Please help. Thanks.

If the factory tape was cut on the box it's used.

Yes it matters. He paid for new, not open box or used. Can you check the monitor for run time?

Right, not 30Hz. We are talking about HDMI, not Display Port.

Damn, I just brought the Dell S2721DGF last week. How does it compare to this HP X32 monitor?

The only main difference I can see off the bat is:
  • Bigger screen (Dell is 27")
  • Only 1 HDMI (Dell has 2)
  • No USB 3.0 hub (I could careless about it but it's nice to have)
I suppose the main thing I want to know is this: is the screen better or the same as the Dell S2721DGF?

Rtings doesn't have a review on this unfortunately.

Just pick one up today at BB.
The monitor is bright even on standard and cinematic (220nits) mode. I will dust off my color-calibrate device and do a calibration on this monitor later tonight. I am currently aiming for 120-130nits, and it is not too bright for the eyes and is suitable for long-term use/viewing if you sit in front of the monitor all day long playing games/work/youtube. I might post the calibration profiles up if enough people want them. Plus, it is better than nothing because all panel colors are a bit different.

Which OD setting for this HP x32 do you guys think is best?
I think gaming OD fast (lvl2) should be good enough. The fastest would be pretty useless because of too much overshoot.

Also, look like this HP X32 monitor use LM315WQ1-SSA1 panel, which is similar to the LG 32GP850-B. There is a review for the LG 32GP850-B via hardware unbox on youtube if you guys are interested. If this is true then it is a bargain at this price LOL.

Please post calibration info. I'll be looking to tune mine in once received. Haven't gotten to looking for any ics files out there yet. I'll definitely check via menu for LG panel and pixel test.
Thx!

I would be interested in the color profiles, thank you! While I do some gaming from time to time, I also plan to use these for some photo editing.

Just going to confirm my monitor (which I purchased from Best Buy) has a LG Panel, despite what others may have suspected with it being an BOE Panel. As stated previously, you can enter service mode to get this info by holding down the menu button while powering the monitor on. Release the menu button after uh... 5 seconds after powering on I guess?

I've attached a screenshot, but it has the following:
Panel: LGD LM315WQ1
Scaler: MT9800
FW Package Version: 1.2.1.0 (I've read that the Firmware is not user upgradeable)
HW Revision: LIM111

I can't find the datasheet for LM315WQ1; closest I can find is for LM315WR1 [alldatasheet.com]. Hope that helps!

This is a review of the x27q but it should have similar performance to this if I recall.

Overall really good bang for the buck monitor.

If using nvidia card make sure to use a displayport plug so g sync can work. And also don't forgot to crank up the refresh rate on windows. I remember using stock refresh rate for a year before I found out I was supposed to crank the settings 😆

It's from Best Buy. I'm not against open box items since that's what I almost always get for myself, but this was purchased as a gift so I specifically chose it new. I did peek into the box and I'm pretty sure this is a return. All the accessories white coverings are loosely wrapped and tape have been opened and resealed. I won't get to try out the monitor until I get home late tonight but I may ask BBY to send out another (hoping the same thing doesn't happen again) as all the BBYs around me are sold out of the monitor so I can't just exchange in store.

Hopefully this is an isolated incident and others aren't getting returns as "brand new."

I empathize with BBY. It's tough to have to drop a new item to open box - excellent and sell it at a discount when it's returned, but unfortunately as the buyer, we have no idea how it was handled or used by the previous buyer. Thanks all!
