This is a smoking deal. U8H was just released few weeks ago.

I own the 65" version of U8G and its a gorgeous TV. I would buy HiSense in a heartbeat again.
My Hisense just died today. Less than 2 years old. Never buying Hisense again ever.
Not just rtings... I can't tell you how many times rtings reviews a TV, gives it a really good score only for people to later find out it is riddled with tons of firmware and software issues. The U8G definitely didn't deserve a 8.4 score at launch.
The TCL r646 also had terrible software issues with Google TV and it got a 8.3. the Vizio P Quantum series from 2020 had a shit ton of issues... Also a 8.4.

Combined with the fact this is the first time they introduced mini-LEDs, you wait for both rtings reviews and then reviews from everyday users. That's my 2 cents on the topic.

Edit: First time Mini-LED in their UXH line*

U8H utilizes the relatively
New mini-led backlight technology that brings the blacks and contrast closer to OLED

Hisense support is truly miserable, unfortunate some of their TVs have been such a good value.

Do folks really expect great customer service on lower tier products?

Technically no the UG75 had it last year but it's the first one in their mainstream line. Sorry I was incorrect here.

This is the second or third gen of TCL mini led TVs right? I remember seeing them release this in 2020. I am debating about buying this and getting a warranty.

PC Magazine gave the U8H series 4.5 out of 5 in a review. https://www.pcmag.com/reviews/hisense-55u8h

It has a two year warranty and I have extended an warranty via my credit card.

I've been waiting for the price to come down which it did today. My local Best Buys are all sold out. I ordered the TV and it's scheduled for delivery next week.

Warranty doesn't matter if they don't support it or deny a claim
