FWIW Amazon has it for $999... Could see a PM...
I don't think burn in is even possible here, I jump around using apps while I'm not browsing. I run chrome in dark mode and hide the start menu when screensaver kicks in. Not even the recycle bin is showing. I don't game like the old days so that's not a problem either. BTW, mine is the 65" but it should be the same panel, 77in has a different coating.

According to Rtings review:
CONS
OLEDs are prone to permanent burn-in.
Doesn't get bright enough to fight intense glare.

YMMV as 4 warehouses around me were out of stock or still at $999. One of them (Potomac hills in VA) had 2 units for $899 and I snagged one.
Amazon price is much higher and less warranty.

I reckon it has a lot to do with individual usage and tastes. It has changed my viewing habits, more movies and less eyestrain. I had to use a screen dimmer with TCL as a browser, now I don't. I have a spare pixel phone with a wireless receiver pad for another remote control.
I rarely use the SONY UI as I'm always on the PC or other box/stick. I miss the HDR or Dolby Vision pop up, it's not as obvious as my TCL 6. . I have a 4K 30FPS Omen Laptop so I won't be pushing any crazy frame rates. But I haven't checked since I switched to the Display Port/HDMI (2.0?)
Edit: whoops, too late.
