S7: last year's model. Contains vacuum without base. Uses LiDAR but no camera to navigate
S7+: S7 with additional auto empty base
S7 MaxV: this year's model. Contains vacuum without base. Uses LiDAR and camera to navigate. More powerful than S7
S7 MaxV Plus: S7 MaxV with auto empty base
S7 MaxV Ultra: S7 MaxV with auto empty dirt and water base that can also clean the mop and refill the vacuum's water tank

Put F10SC diluted into the water and it will deal with all mold and crap to be concerned with. I use it to treat my humidifiers and dehumidifiers.

Nice! I had an alert for the s7 maxv ultra and have been considering a stick vac. Is the stick vac worth almost 300 though? I was thinking a Ryobi because I have some 8 batteries and rarely use Ryobi tools anymore but they have a bad track record for me of being flimsy and underpowered.

Edit: I didn't realize what the wet dry vac was. I didn't know there was a market for something like this. we're about 1/3 tile, 1/3 carpet, 1/3 unsealed wood floors and my wife loves her shark mop. I don't think this is worth it for me but I need to strongly consider the discounted S7 Maxv ultra. I have a top of the line Eufy from a few years back that has been nothing but PITA that I want to move to another unreachable part of the house. hopefully I won't be as disappointed at wasting my time and money on eufy seeing it forget how to use one wheel or get "stuck" under a chair with plenty of room to get out when it's in a room that has zero robovac coverage now. Maybe I'll get lucky and the roborock will figure out how to get over the hallway rug and cover the whole house as well allowing me to happily sell the Eufy for 1/8th what I paid for it.

I just did the same recently. Can it be returned if I ran it once since opening it? Or does roborock offer partial refunds like some stores do if a sale happens so soon after buying something?

Returning would save $300 since when I bought it all I had was a $10 coupon.

Edit: I talked to roborock and they gave me a partial refund. Great deal!

Oh yeah. MaxV Ultra is on sale. Problem is I don't need it now as the house isn't finished. Do I buy and hold or wait to see if there is a cheaper price later on????

How do you get the discount? The s7maxv ultra shows as 1500 all the way up to the "pay now" screen.

.
The Stick Vac is probably the worst tool I ever bought from Ryobi. I did the same thinking like you , got batteries so why not , the damn thing can barely pickup anything and is noisy AF.

Does anyone have experience with the MaxV Ultra? Specifically the large dock

I've seen comments state that the water smells/stinks and there could be mold since there's water involved.

Is there anything "better" coming out in the next 6 months to compete with the S7 MaxV Ultra? Trying to decide if it's worth splurging on this now, or waiting for new tech.

Off-topic: Not that I don't like Roborock's vacuums (I have a couple of S4 Max units that have worked great for a couple of years now and I would happily recommend), but their website has some obvious non-native speaker spelling mistakes that are not expected from a company selling $1500 vacuums in the US. The link above takes you to the "Roboorck Deals:" page and when you open that page there's a hovering tab on the left to sign up for their emails with a sign that says "Stay Turned In"... I assume this should say 'tuned'?

That is true. Because the water at the bottom (around the filter) never gets sucked out. It is gross in that area

I don't have this issue? Although the dirty water tank smells disgusting even with the Roborock cleaning solution. But since it stays closed, no smells usually.
