The point of these is bidirectional communication aswell as communication with all 7 computer modules. Cant access the transmission control module with a carista, can ya

OMG NO! why are you getting so many thumbs up and misinforming people? this is a bidirectional scan tool, not a cheap scanner like the one you mention. This will read codes and data from all computers in the car and not only the ECU (like the Bluetooth you mention), and #1 its bidirectional! it will send data to the ECU (you can activate relays, etc manually!), the cheap Bluetooth ones just READS.

Have you used it much? I ordered one. According to reviews it doesn't have very much in functions for older obd2 cars

Just ordered also. Been looking for a more affordable home version of the MS908P that my shop has. I have multiple basic obd2 scanners but would like one with bi-directional features such as abs bleeding and key programming. Techstream is nice for Toyotas but need one for my other vehicles.

Most of the functionality in devices like this have been replaced by a Bluetooth ODB reader (Google ELM327) and apps like torque or carista for under $40-$50. iPhone users would want the wifi version of an ELM327. Just in case someone doesn't want to throw down over 300 dollars to clear codes.

Carista also has a lot of investments in updates for reprogramming settings that normally a dealer can only do (like disabling door chimes etc).

will this clear TPMS light b/f I trade in?

or will the cheap BT OBDII work just as well?
I am no expert but I had a cheap one to clear my codes.

You can get self programm universal sensors, local stores have them I pretty sure, talk to them or depend on your car you can buy OEM sensor from your dealer and install them, no programm needed, just ask dealer to make sure, give them your vin number. And most import before replacing bad sensor you need to know which one is bad, to do so, If you have tire pressure showing on your dash and 1 tire pressure for example is not showing start looking by releasing pressure from each tire and checking values on dash

dealer said it's a bad battery since it's flashing. I might take it to DT. $60/ea to replace.

or maybe just use an aftermarket sensor https://www.amazon.com/s?k=tpms+s...e-asc-rank
