RP 8000F is now $674 = 25% off $899 per speaker
Recently introduced revision to the Reference Premiere line of Klipsch speakers are now on sale at 25% off. This is the first sale for the new RP line since it's been released 3-4 months ago. I predict this is within $100 of Black Friday / Christmas pricing. The RP-8000F has been positively reviewed (i.e. Audioholics.com and Andrew Robinson on YouTube) and represents a tremendous value. Other RP models are also discounted (I.e. RP600M ii etc…) The mark ii update features a more neutral frequency response which should appeal to an even wider audience. Available from Klipsch.com, Crutchfield, and other authorized dealers.
RP-600M ii is now $572 per pair = 25% off of $749
RP-500M ii is now $449 per pair = 25% off of $599

I think the blowout pricing on the original RP line are "super slick" in terms of value for the dollar. The one model where I would seriously consider getting the version ii over the previous generation is the RP 8000F. The Previous gen had huge hole in the frequency response that they fixed with an new crossover design. This should allow for more placement flexibility and a more balanced sound. If you're gonna be stuck with a speaker for several years or more… I'd say pay a little more to have the better speaker.

I LOVE the 8000's.. they're absolutely incredible. And although we got a screaming deal from classifieds on them.. knowing what I know now I would for sure buy them at this price, too. They have such great sound and depth and just really, really special. If you're on the fence at all, I would just send it and you'll regret nothing. I like that the magnetic cover is really nice and can be removed/replaced easily.
I also enjoy the 600's and you can't go wrong there.. but I would definitely recommend spending the extra monies on the towers. The bookshelves are great.. but just the towers are so awesome. I can't recommend them enough! Hope it helps one of y'all purchase these and change your viewing experience exponentially 😍

In the future, you may want to look at upgrading the subwoofer. The Klipsch subs aren't the greatest value right now, and the Monolith V-10 V2 would have left you with better sound (but it wouldn't match that copper Klipsch like the rest of your system . Of course, you could always add a 2nd sub down the road too.

I definitely had some apprehensions with the sub.. but for the price and being able to get it immediately shipped was a deal maker for us. Plus whenever we get our basement finished maybe then I can add the second one like ya mentioned 🤣 Is it really needed!? I feel like this bass shakes our home already haha and I love it. Probably need some tweaking to get the voice to bass radio better, but it's unreal awesome already. Can't imagine what a more expensive sub would do 😂

I've seen reviews, they say the crossover is different in the new speakers and they're tuned a little differently. If it was a difference of $100 or so I'd get the new ones. The reviewer said it's very noticeable.

The Klipsch one you have provides bass, and will shake things around for sure. The difference between it, and higher end subwoofers is that the response of the higher end subs will be tighter, have a more linear sound profile, and achieve lower frequencies. That probably all sounds like garbalygook to someone who hasn't experienced high quality bass, so I can explain a bit further.
A tight/quick subwoofer response will punch you in chest when that shotgun is fired in the movie. A cheaper sub is slower and will sound a bit "boomy" or "muddy" or "rumbly" with the same gunshot.
A more linear sound profile means that the sub will change frequencies smoothly. For example, as a truck drives away, and the sound slowly goes deeper. A cheap sub might cut out, or get louder or more quiet suddenly at certain frequencies. To understand what I mean, you can sing "do re me fa so la ti do", but make one or two of the notes louder or quieter than the others.
Achieving lower frequencies means just that. The higher quality subwoofers can get down below what you can even hear, and you feel the effect because it isn't even audible. They pressurize a room and really immerse you in the movie or music in an emotional way.
Hopefully those explanations help. I have the Monolith 16" sub in my home theater basement. It's total overkill, but it puts a smile on my face every time I watch a great action movie. If I were you, I would NOT get 2 subs before I got rid of the Klipsch and upgraded to something better first in the 12" or larger size. Monolith, SVS, REL, RSL, ELAC, JL, Rythmik and several others ALL make great subs!
