See but this isn't true. It's not every week. Like I just said, this is only $25 cheaper than it was a month ago. And it's pretty much only Newegg and microcenter. Amazon isn't even discounting them. Nobody with a brain who can afford a new card is buying a used mining card so we're not talking about that.

And lastly. Intel is not getting in the game. Intel will cancel Arc before they take even an ounce of market share. AMD has been doing this for decades and they just finally caught up to Nvidia's level.
Ok.

1. We aren't talking about this specific card, but cards in general. There have been cards hitting new lows most weeks now for the last 2 months straight. I see that trend continuing as they have a literal boatload of inventory.

2. Used cards will affect the new market. It is guaranteed. Pure supply and demand.

3. There have been sales by Amazon, not sure what you are talking about there.

4. Intel may cancel but only time will tell. It isn't happening now, and that will contribute to a downward price trend.

I look forward to your comments in the next thread where the price is a new low. We can chat then. I shouldn't have to remind you that your first comment in this thread was that this is the best deal on a GPU so far. That same comment has been in many threads now for the last couple months, trend has nowhere to go but continuing down still.

September thru the end of the year is going to be a hell of a ride for those seeking gpu's. I hope we can agree on that.

I've had this exact GPU since April 2021. Got it from a Newegg Shuffle, $1050.

I also have an RTX 3080, and this AMD card runs circles around the 3080.

I've always thought the reviews and benchmarks were somewhat skewed in favor of Nvidia, especially playing in 4K. But this card is the real deal bang for the buck.

It probably will. I ordered an Amazon warehouse 5900x and it came jacked up. This is better than 3070ti at everything but Ray tracing.

Not going to happen. Nvidia just said it's not going to happen. There are enough buyers to move the old inventory it just takes longer than it did in 2021 and Nvidia is like 10% higher price than comparable AMD cards so at most you'll see them match AMD prices. Nvidia is a smart company and they know its better to wait and preserve the price premiums than it is to flood the market with premium products at discount prices, destroying their entire business model.
Good luck to them, the western world is seeing a massive influx of used cards coming from Asia (mining collapse / regulations banning crypto mining) further diluting the 3xxx market while nvidia and its partners are still sitting on new and old 2xxx stock. Something's gotta give.

I wonder what their stock price is going to say about that while AMD does not hold back stock of their next gen card? Also Intel is getting in the game...

Also, what do you think is going to happen when all the used mining cards start hitting the market?

I am not saying we will see new cards for 75% MSRP, but every thread has someone like you claiming this will be about as good as it gets and then the next week there is another price drop.

I am still holding off to see what happens after eth, but that is a personal decision. I am in no rush Smilie
I was really hoping that intel would enter the game with a low cost (<$100) card that would give the performance of a gtx 1060, and be low profile compatible with no additional power connector needed. THAT would be awesome, and I don't see why not since the gtx 1030 was able to do that 7 years ago.

nobody in their right mind wants the arc cards. there is nothing they can do that red and green can't do better for less power and less money.

Pure rasterization this card is closer to a 3080 10GB so it's a step up. But a 3070ti for 450 is a better deal assuming warranty is intact and it wasnt hooked up to a farming rig 24/7.

You're wrong on all four POINTS. Congrats!

Like I said, $25 bucks cheaper from a month ago. I don't care about the value cards. I'm only talking about the premium cards, 6800xt, 3070ti, 3080, rx 6900 etc.

They have not been dropping, they dropped at the beginning of the July and have been pretty consistent since then. Idk what planet youre on but Amazon has not been having sales. They've had prices nowhere near what Newegg has done.
Not wrong on any of it. Like I said, see you in the next thread. We will see who is correct. Keep changing the goalposts though once we get there like you are doing here (THIS card; only high end cards; no serious gamer would buy a USED card). Like I said, we will see. All we can do now is speculate. So far everyone like you have speculated wrong, prices keep dropping. Like I said, I am personally waiting for the dump into the used market to see how low it will really go. Talk to you then bud Wink

Edit: lol, this you from 12 days ago (yes, days ago)?

Guessing when I search I will find your same shill comments trying to aggressively get people to buy going back to the beginning of the price drops, LMAO. Way too easy bud.

Don't worry about it. You bought it from warehouse deals section, if it's farked up send it back. For $450 you got a good card, I just sold a 3070fe for $450 last week when I got my 3080fe card.

Repped. Think folks have cards to unload. Dropped $65 in less than 2 weeks.

That was the plan install it check it with gpu z run it through it's paces and send that shit back if it's messed up. 450 was hard to pass for a 3070ti.

If you got 3 x 6pin + 2pin you should be fine. Picture here [pactech-inc.com]
The PSU has 4 plugs that are 6+2 pin - designed to potentially run cards in Crossfire / SLI. I worry about whether it would connect to a modern motherboard and deal with the new cards GPU power spikes. It was used for about 3 years and has not run for over 9 years as it sits in the carcass of an ancient AMD Opteron build from 2006. It's kind of like, "do you feel lucky, punk".
