The 3070Ti in this is 140W. I'm not sure that the slight bump to Ti is worth the $100 premium over the 82RF00DBUS (Legion 5i Pro) with the 150W 3070 still available for $1599 at Walmart. This one also has the 300nit 15.6" FHD display whereas the Pro has the 500nit 16" WQXGA, which is another mark for the Pro, while all other meaningful specs are identical. I suppose the lower resolution would allow for a slight performance bump when not using an external monitor, and the lower brightness appears to boost the battery life by a few percent. Overall, I still think the Walmart one is the best balance of value to performance currently available, but I might be biased because I just picked it up myself last week and don't want to have made the wrong choice...

Does the 5i pro at Walmart with 3070ti/12700h/512/16 have 140w vs 150w in the 3070 version?

the 5 pro has 3070ti 150w. difference is in Boost Clock: 1485MHz (Ti) vs 1620MHz

I got model 82RF00DBUS which is $1599, with the i7-12700H, 500nits 2560x1600 @ 165hz, 3070 150W, 1TB, 16GB. The cashback and Lenovo points make the one you mentioned a great alternative, as without those the 82RF00DBUS has the better processor with more cores, higher turbo and L1 Cache and slightly higher power gpu for only $50 more. At $175 I'd have considered that one if I hadn't already purchased and set this one up. I'd imagine that the 11800H runs as hot or hotter than the 12700H, but the TDP on both processors is the same, so maybe not.

I see. Thanks! So seems like the 3070 may be better or it's pretty close.
Right now, they're both priced at $1599 on Walmart. Hoping that means they will reduce the price of the 3070 version. I'm still within my return period so hoping they do and I can get a price adjustment.

Not sure if that will happen soon or not. That model has only been on sale for about a month and has a "List Price" of 1999, according to Walmart's systems, though it never sold for that as far as I can tell.
