The G5 S27AG50 is nothing particularly special. Pretty standard IPS panel. Total response time is slower than the S2721DGF (8.1ms average vs 6.3ms average), but contrast ratio is higher (1150 vs 880). Pretty standard trade off. I'd choose the Dell for competitive gaming and the Samsung for everything else. $260 is a great price though, but all these monitors seem to be coming down in price quickly.

what you mean?
I never did a post before, am I missing something?
Constructive criticism here: Mention the actual product in the title and in the post. Also try to avoid mentioning other products in your main post because this triggers people's deal alerts needlessly. If you have more to say when compared to other popular products, use the wiki for that after creating your deal post.

1.8 ms - .2 input lag = ~1.6ms
all in all, I'll take that hit for the WAY better black uniformity. the dell's blacks abysmal. If gaming's gonna be your career, spend more money.

1.8ms Rise/Fall with 10.5ms Total Response Time average on the Faster setting, with 26.5% overshoot.
There is no reason you would choose that over the adaptive sync overdrive setting which has a lower Total Response Time average of 8.1ms and literally zero overshoot.
Black uniformity is panel specific but I have little doubt the Samsung has better blacks and black uniformity on average. It's certainly not a strength of LG panels.

I mean I get it, that slickdeals has a certain etiquette I'm probably missing here, and most people responding to this are input lag weenies (like myself) but, this IS the best $260 monitor deal I've ever seen, and there's alot of people out there that would REALLY appreciate knowing that this thing is great... and they will look at these thumbs down and scroll right by.
-7 thumb score?? give me a break internet, not right.

Bro you can see the comparisons... the dell's blacks are abysmal comparatively, look at the ps5 and Xbox Series menu screens, samsung looks right, looks great, the dell looks terrible. Not to mention the Samsung give's you 4k@60hz compatibility and HDR with XBSX https://www.rtings.com/monitor/to...shold=0.10

For me it's your level of excitement in the post vs reality, which is that this is just an OK price on a decent monitor.
You might try the CAG forum - the response there might better match your enthusiasm. Keep trying here - don't let the the thumbs down bother you. Happens to everyone.

I need a good monitor for ps5 gaming at a desk, also needs to do normal everyday computing. 24" vs 27"? If its 27" it has to be 1440 right? Any suggestions welcome. Budget friendly.

heres the samsung were looking at, down below theres a ps5 section, it does all the modes your looking for, great for PC, it will take ps5's 4k signal and display fine, if 120hz ps5 gaming is something your particulaly looking for this might be the best option, there arent too many games at the moment.
