I have xfinity internet and I have 2 lines/ paid for phones im thinking of bringing in from Verizon and debating whether I should take the $200 promo gc for them or go with the iphone 12 minis?

I have a 12 pro max that I like already. The only reason I'd go with the 12 minis would be to try and sell them and then just put my old phones back on the xfinity mobile network. Does anyone know if they would allow this, or am I better off just taking the gift cards?

You'll be selling Xfinity locked phones. And buyers may not be able to activate it on their Xfinity plans as it will be tied to your account for 2 years. I'd choose the gift cards. Max out gift cards to fund a nice phone that you can purchase outright and unlocked!

Are you sure you turned off everything (by enabling the airplane mode)? You can't assume you can simply turn off data and you're good. The safer way is to turn on airplane mode and turn on WiFi and Bluetooth only.

Not really. 10 is the max lines they allow, but they limit it to 5 for most people unless you with XM for long time already, they refuse to give me 10 lines even I asked and escalated, FYI, I been with Xfinity internet more than 5 years and been on and off on XM.

trade in 12 mini for better price than $200 rebate.rebate may take 6 months whereas phone will put on hold for 24 months.

How do you know they would allow such a thing? They have international roaming plan so they can simply force you to use their roaming plan instead.

Nope, they dont allow that for those line which have 24 month contracts.

Nobody is 'playing'. I have tried multiple times and everytime the customer service reps have had the same story, pay off the phone and we can unlock, cant do anything else before that. Have you had success unlocking it while still making payments?

Yes, I did this for my mother in law for her iPhone. I called and said she was doing international travel to belguim. They did a temporary unlock. She never was traveling, it was then permanently unlocked
