Deal History includes data from multiple reputable stores, such as Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. The lowest price among stores for a given day is selected as the "Sale Price".
Sale Price does not include sale prices at Amazon unless a deal was posted by a community member.
I bought this March 2021 and it was $27.59. I am NOT saying that to play that game some do where they call something a bad deal because if you had a time machine, you can do better. But just giving a data point. I don't know how much this current price is based on material/inflation costs and may be temporary or if this is a permanent good price.
So more just info for those that don't need this cord, and may (like me) buy it just because it's a good price for right now. If we see supply chain and commodity prices relax in the next year or so, hopefully these can come back down closer to what I paid.
Project Farm reviewed extension cords recently including one from Southwire. It appears to be a quality cable. https://youtu.be/-j6sC_8Z4_w
I'm in for one since my dethatcher ate my last cord...

Funny these at 12 gauge is the same as the typical Romex wire for wall receptacles and these have additional insulation for indoor/outdoor use so in theory these are tougher than Romex NMB in wall wiring. They may not fit the definition of the code but I don't see these being any weaker than what the code requires. Any electrician can chime in here?

Harbour Freight seems to be the best if you need to go cheap.
Looks like a nice deal. Keep in mind it's 100 feet though. If you're in the trades or have a large property where you need to operate power tools and such a long way from a power source, this makes sense, If' like me, you're a "weekend warrior" doing projects within the confines of your house, 100 feet is tedious to deal with and gets underfoot unless you're using all of it. I generally find 25 feet to be more than adequate.
To piggyback on this comment, you should always use the shortest extension cord possible, your power tools will thank you.
I bought this at the beginning of the month for $60 after waiting for a deal for like a year. Of course it goes on sale now and of course Amazon doesn't offer price adjustments.
I could return it to get $10 back but it's not really worth the time.

I'd have to agree, but what you can also do is, get a 100ft cord, get some female and male plugs and make 3 different sizes, 2x25ft and 1 50ft. Can never have enough

I did that last time this was on sale for around $30, bought two and made 5 cords out of them. 3x25, 1x50, 1x75.

I paid the extra $10 as I like this brand and have had success with it in the past.
