The notes say if you have a Sirius radio Stern is standard, but not if you have an XM or SiriusXM radio.


I think my car is XM, but I can't stand Stern anyway.

I have had a SXM subscription in my vehicle for 8 years, never an issue receiving annual retention offers of around $5 per month, for 12 months, which included Howard Stern. My plan expires in mid-September, cancelled when the retention agent was unwilling/unable to do better than the OP's plan. Will allow the current plan to lapse, see if SXM will sweeten the pot.

This has streaming. What it lacks from the Platinum Plan is Howard Stern, Personalized Pandora stations, Stitcher premium podcasts, and some video content.

An absolutely horrific service for music. Not the selection, the quality (compression). Somehow was much better 10 years ago than now.

I always drop Sirius XM and wait for a deal. I used Amazon Unlimited ($10/month prime) in the mean time. This SXM deal is $6.87/month all inclusive for 24 months.

I can listen to SXM in my truck, motorcyle, car, app, and home (alexa).

Agreed. It's been about 14 years, but I'm still bitter from the Sirius and XM merger. XM circa 2004-2007 was the best. It sounded great...they had great hardware (had the Inno) and great content. They didn't even have gimmicky DJs, except on the decades and pop channels (I find Madison on Lithium to be horrendous!) They really had something special.

I do have a trial in my wife's car and I did just get the 2 year deal offer. I never look forward to giving them my credit card, and dread the process of cancelling...but 2 years is a long enough time. I'll take the offer if the missus wants it. nod

For the past 5 years probably, I have had 12 months for $60 but last year it changed and didn't include NFL. I called and told them that was basically all I listened too but wasnt willing to pay more than that. They switched me to the $5 (plus taxes) for 12 months which included all the channels and streaming. That ended last month and I noticed they charged me regular price. I did the chat online and told them i wanted to cancel, that I didnt use it enough to justify the price and they immediately offered me the $5 per month again for 12 months and it still includes all the channels including Stern, NFL and streaming.
