The notes say if you have a Sirius radio Stern is standard, but not if you have an XM or SiriusXM radio.

I think my car is XM, but I can't stand Stern anyway.

I have had a SXM subscription in my vehicle for 8 years, never an issue receiving annual retention offers of around $5 per month, for 12 months, which included Howard Stern. My plan expires in mid-September, cancelled when the retention agent was unwilling/unable to do better than the OP's plan. Will allow the current plan to lapse, see if SXM will sweeten the pot.

This has streaming. What it lacks from the Platinum Plan is Howard Stern, Personalized Pandora stations, Stitcher premium podcasts, and some video content.

That's the channel that I listen to the most, I just wish that they had more variety. You'd think that with 25-30 years of music to choose from they would play more then the same 100 songs over and over.
If you have the SiriusXM app they have a "secret" channel only on there called Classic Rewind Deep Cuts. It's some good shit...

Not a bad price if it included an Amazon Alexa. I will pass....

By the way, if you are up for renewal and they refuse to honor the $5.00/month, cancel your subscription. They will call you begging to re-subscribe. At that point, within reason, you should be able to get the previous price.

So I was debating activating this on my wife's car but for $5 a month and not having to go thru the hassle of contacting SiriusXM sign me up.

As others have stated, nobody should pay the advertised prices for SiriusXM but it's slightly annoying to have to haggle with them every year when your current deal expires.
With so many free streaming platforms paying for crappy quality satellite radio makes zero financial sense. The audio quality sucks and the songs are repeated ad nauseam. Put that money in I-bonds instead!

Thanks, OP! My $5 plan expired in August and I was just charged $21 and change for Sept. Going through the app, I canceled. Of course it brought me to the chat and I signed up for 2 more years at $6.06/mo including taxes, (it's not worth any more than that to me). And they're refunding the difference for Sept. I travel frequently and love that I can connect my Siriusxm to rental cars. So again, thank you!

Editing to add: I didn't wait for the chat agent to tell me offers. I asked if this deal (2 years @ $5/mo) was still available. He/she didn't bother to look for others. Just came back with yes, it's still available and let me send you the terms and conditions. Boom! No haggling.

What music is "censored"?
Not sure what the OP heard, but I heard bad words being censored in songs. Probably stuff in the lower numbers like pop rocks or something like that. Not sure if it's every channel or not. But I also have heard words censored. I have not heard any talk shows censoring words though.
