Seems like more and more stock is coming online. Probably due to economy and people holding back on spending.

I don't even care for a PS5 Pro. I just want a slim version of this beast. I bought one over a year ago, finished Horizon, and sold it. The novelty wears off quickly and then you realize you are mostly playing PS4 games.

I've never owned a console, always a PC gamer. However, I was thinking of getting a PS5 as my wife wants one. I was playing just cause on pc yesterday and it is a console port, and it is terrible. It takes forever to load and then had these constant cut scenes where it says loading in the bottom right corner, which kills my immersion experience. Now Just Cause 3 is pretty old, so my question is, are consoles still like like this? Slow and loading screens? Why doesn't it just load once and be done like a pc? Before anyone asks, my pc is powerful enough, 64gb ram, amd ryzen 9, nvidia 3070, latest on mobo ssds, etc.

If they don't do that, then I'm in. If they do, then maybe it might be okay for games that aren't too immersive like a mario kart type thing. Which is just pure low tech fun in multilayer or with kids.

Can anyone who has both a pc and a console help me out? Thanks!
I have a ps5 and a series x and they are both amazing systems. I used to be a Pc gamer but the cost of constantly upgrading didn't make it worth it as a consoles lifespan is nearly 10 years.

Btw your Pc is probably slightly less powerful than ps5/ series x as they only do one thing. And that's play games and I guess Netflix Apple TV etc.

I have to agree that HFW is not as good as the original. It's absolutely gorgeous to look at, but the character development and story are seriously lacking. If all you want to do is hunt a huge variety of robot monsters all day, collecting a million parts to upgrade all of your weapons and armor for minor stat boosts, then this is the game for you.

The actual story has Aloy being a self important jerk, talking down to everyone like they're cavemen and believing herself to be the second coming of Jesus. Meanwhile she gets easily stun-locked in combat, has a skill tree that's mediocre and weapons that are mostly unsatisfying to use.

I played HZD and had a tear in my eye at the end, but for HFW, I couldn't wait for it to be over.

Yes ps5 is fast at loading and so should your pc be. I have built and fixed computers for over 30 years. If you have a gen4 nvme drive like the wd 850, which is what the consoles use, then you should not have slow loading unless you have a bottleneck somewhere like using a regular ssd as the virtual memory drive.
That said, some older games are not optimized to use certain newer technology but the loading would be from your nvme so it should be fast.

So is there going to be an abundant Black Friday deal this year for PS5 or no?

Does this even work for anyone still? It's been nothing but a technical error every single time I try to add to cart for the past 12 hours

Thanks for the info, my ssd are two of these: Corsair Force Series MP600 2TB Gen4 PCIe X4 NVMe M.2 SSD

Maybe it's just because it is an old game and abad port from console to pc.

I'm surprised nobody here has brought up Returnal. That's a legit PS5 game and it's amazing. I put so many hours into that game.

Consoles have greatly improved load times thanks to using solid state drives. They're always going to be behind PCs of course, as the hardware came out almost two years ago now. The graphics usually look good, but you'll be choosing between looking great or running at higher frame rates this generation. Unlike PC where you can have both.

Your PC has better performance than this generation, but optimization is the problem with console ports and especially older ones.

PS5 has been a disappointment, got one on release date but have not played an actual PS5 game on it.
So you bought the console for other purposes than gaming?!? I'm lost if that's not the case.

The graphics and faster SSD is nice but like others say, 2years and no actual PS5 games on it, just a bunch of remaster/upgraded graphics.
