how long of a smoke can it do without having to add more charcoal? my current pellet goes on 10 hours , don't need it the same but don't want to add coal every 30 mins
Depends on the type of coal (briquette or log) but I can go a solid 6-8 hours before adding coal/wood when I smoke. If I did straight coal I think I could get 8-10 hours.

That's in my 560, the 800 may have an even larger chute.

I got the 1050 and it's a game changer for smoking a brisket. You get the smoke flavor of an offset but the ease of a pellet.

Do you have the box dimensions? Seeing if I can get this in the back of a Honda crv
Dude...just unbox the pieces. I got my 1000 cubic inch grill home in the back of my Hyundai with no trouble. Styrofoam takes up so much space when transporting home.

Called our Costco. Staff said it was deleted item and no Costco has stock in the Texas!!!

When I checked online randomly, it is available in Illinois and California.

Do you know why this difference in Texas?

Just picked one up for $375.00 today (8/28). There are now 3 left at our Costco, plus the display model.

No, you will not get in the back of a small SUV.

This model hasn't even been on the market for 3 years.
The 560 series has been on the market since late 2019. Same smoker, just bigger. I have the 800, I agree that it is a great smoker. I use a combination of wood and charcoal. It is also difficult to beat the sear you can get on a steak at 700 degrees.

This would be a lot slicker if it came with the flat top griddle insert like this model normally does. I just got the version with a griddle for $349 at Walmart last night (though I had to drive a way to the nearest store that Brickseek said had it for that price, lol).

You just set the dial to whatever temperature you want, from 225F to 700F. The heat is indirect (and fan-controlled), so flare-ups are a complete non-issue.

If you don't want smoke flavor, just stick to gas or your oven, you'll be a lot happier.

FWIW, I just bought this as an upgrade from my Char-Griller Akorn that I've used for 10 years. A kamado will use less fuel, but other than that I think this is probably better overall. But we'll see how I feel once I've actually used it!

If all goes well, I'll probably just use this instead of my 22" Blackstone Adventure Ready. The grease drain hole is at the front-left.
The griddle part is not great. I used it once. The surface is too rough. It is a great smoker and you can sear a great steak, however the griddle part is not a feature I like.

I went ahead and bought one... Will try and get the griddle separately.
They have about 8 in KOP, and 10 in Pottstown... Both PA
Don't bother getting the griddle. That is the worst part of the smoker. Buy a small Blackstone or Camp Chef, you will be a much happier man.
