I have had mine for about 2 years. Short cooks I enjoy it but long cooks I did experience the issue of the fire going back into the auger making my pellet hopper smolder. Almost gave up on it but after some research I heard people raising the hopper side about an inch to help the pellets feed in the auger and not pile at the opening causing the back burn.

What I did was cut two small pieces of a 2x4 and prop the hopper side up which made it 1 and a half inches higher than the right side. So far no back burn issues with this but the longest cook I did was 4 hours. Never had any issues with temp swings . Once it's dialed it it holds pretty well.

Plan to do some longer cooks now fingers crossed with confidence now with no issues.

Hope this helps

I have this and it's awesome for the size. I think I paid $190 for mine.

Can you do a brisket on it? Is it large enough?

A full packer? No, you'd need something bigger. With that said, I've cut one in half and it handled it just fine.

I've done a 9lbs pork butt on it just fine as well.

Got one at my local Walmart for $150. $50 less than I've seen this model (except for the $100 promo from BJ's I saw a while back, but they wouldn't ship to me).

Felt I got my money's worth full price; does smaller cuts very well and uses only maybe up to 70 watts so you could use this when you Glamp or as another backup cooking appliance

I have one and it has open flames section so I use it to finish off my steaks I stead of wasting charcoal.

If brickseek says in stock but not discounted, would it be discounted if I went there? Or should I drive 40 min to one where says in stock and discounted?

Brickseek price is almost always accurate ... inventory is another story. So, the latter.

I just got a 9-10lb brisket for mine. Measured it beforehand and it will just fit. Just got to find a small one

I almost pulled the trigger on this, but it has allot of bad reviews. Apparently issues with fire backing up into the auger for no reason, along with error messages. I also saw this on several Youtube videos

Mine was located right at the entrance (Grocery side) … for others looking in the typical gardening section
