Once you get rid of the weeds, if you drink coffee, save the used grounds and sprinkle them on your lawn. In doing that, I haven't fertilized my lawn in 15+ years (other than the coffee grounds) and my lawn is the greenest and thickest (which prevents weeds in the first place) on my block.

I was told my lawn is full of crabweed and some fungus, it's pretty green but mixed with grass, can I use this turf builder to get rid of the unwanted stuff and build new grass in bald spots, then put coffee to build new grass?

You can put coffee on it right now if you want to....it just adds a little extra fertilizer to the soil and won't hurt anything.

You can kill the crabgrass now but the ideal time to apply pre-emergent is in the spring. If the yard really is a disaster, you might consider renting a dethatcher or core aerator and starting from scratch, literally. We're approaching the best time of the year to plant grass seed. Might be smart to just do a complete reseeding of the entire yard.
I used to be a Scott's user but tried Milorganite this spring in an attempt to resurrect a badly neglected yard. Core aerated, seeded, and fertilized. I was astonished to see how great the Milorganite worked. Same grass seed as in prior years but with much better results. The fertilizer impact lasted a really long time versus the high nitrogen short term boost. The grass seemed healthier and did better in this year's heat and drought. I bought the Milorganite at a Rural King for a good price and expect to do so again in another month for fall/winter.
Just a daily reminder that grass is incredibly invasive and to tear up at least a part of your grass lawn to build a native habitat. It's one of the best things you can personally do for future generations, so that native ecosystems do not erode away.

Either you drink a LOT of coffee or have a VERY small lawn

BS uses walmarts inventory. It's not wrong, walmart is. Most likely they are sending a product back to manufacturer but haven't removed its quantity from their inventory, i.e. it's sitting in the back. I have asked employees about grabbing something and some know exactly where it is in the back because it's obvious. Most of the time everything is in brown boxes without any obvious markings and it's unfeasible to open everything to look.

I've been doing this for over 15 years. It's not like I hit the entire lawn every month, but over time I hit most parts of my lawn 3-4 times a year. And I do have a smallish lawn, so that helps. This may not work for everyone if they have a large lawn.
But if you're just throwing your coffee grounds away in the garbage anyway, why not put them on your lawn instead.

Yard is not a disaster, to my untrained eye, it's still pretty green, but mix of crab grass & regular grass as well as some areas having different kind of flowering grass. What is the problem with grab grass, especially on back yards, etc, if it's green, it's green, no? But for front yard, I want that soccer field look, some of my neighbors got that, i don't know what they did, it looks beautiful. I also had some work done on my backyard, they wheeled with bobcats and now I got few trenches, I was told to get top soil and fill those, but if there is weeds/crab grass underneath, how will that help.

Lol. Blame who you want, but the fact is that the BS inventory numbers and what people HERE report finding in store at Walmart in just about every Walmart deal poster here are waaaaay different. I'm surprised if you've been here for awhile you haven't noticed this.

I don't believe fertilizer "goes bad" provided it's stored properly (e.g. don't let it get wet).
