Yes this has USB 4 and HDMI etc but it's not a challenge to fit everything into a 6 lb case for $300 more.
I don't like HP either, but those two laptops are not comparable. You chose power for gaming or you chose slim lightweight laptop for work and browsing.

I paid $550ish for a refurb and put a fan under it. Some say it doesn't help but I put a mesh filter under it too for the dust. Showing out of stock now. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Restor.../714838944 Funny the warranty lapsed after a year and I just renewed it, like getting the second year coverage free.
