The SAE set has equivalents to the missing metric sizes. 7/16 is 11mm, 9/16 is 14mm.
I have both sae and metric sets and they DO NOT WORK with a friction ring impact wrenches. I have a 12v Mileaukee stubby and the bits fall off the anvil. They work fine on the Milwaukee ratchet with the detent pin anvil.
In the description *Created for use with 1/4" impact drivers*

I've looked into these prior and had a hard time determining if they'd work with an impact wrench, not just an impact driver. Hoping someone here can chime in. According to reviews they've used them with hog ring and pin indent friction styles so that tells me impact wrench.

Edit - big words on the package - Impact Driver Socket Set, not for an impact wrench

Terrible assumption on their part.

I got these a few deals back. They are great. Prior i was using my old standard sockets in a pinch which can be dangerous or break the socket. Nice having the correct tools finally.

Good deal IMO.

It's not 'good' to use an Impact on spark plugs.

Why would you use an impact on spark plugs?

Spark plug sockets also typically have a little rubber boot that will help grab the plug once it is loose, which would be missing on this set.

No, these are not for spark plugs. Also, do yourself a favor and buy spark plug sockets with magnets rather than those with the rubber insert.

I see you've never owned a triton engine with the spark plugs that tend to break in the engine. There is a well documented procedure that seems to work quite well, warm the engine up, then use an impact wrench to remove the plugs. This method tends to break fewer plugs than just putting constant torque on the plugs to take them out with a conventional ratchet.

Many complaints on non complete sets and redundant SAE and this and that...it is $15 guys, cut them some slack...

If you want a really nice set, thin walls to keep it hand tool friendly and not too cumbersome to lug around, why not a set like Grey Pneumatic (81635MRD) 3/8" Drive 35-Piece 6-Point Metric Standard and Deep Duo-Socket Set?

https://a.co/6R8sGPZ

Beaut. 10times more $ but...something(one) has to give. just putting things into perspective on people not liking $50 sunex or $15 husky or anything...

How do y'all change your sacrificial anodes? I keep looking for a set with a 1 and 1/16" half inch six-point deep socket and I never really see one except in a huge set.

For those who don't know what I am talking about, you should absolutely find out. It could save you the price of a water heater.

I bought a set of deep impact sockets and it turns out they were too thick to fit into the hole to wrench out my sacrificial anode.

I know I could just buy a single socket, but it seems like a waste just to buy a single socket. Besides, when I stopped by Home Depot the other day all I could find were 12-pointed sockets.

What do you experts recommend?

Thanks

You already answered with my solution, bought a single socket. I have a 12 pointed one and have changed out at least 5 annodes with it (camper and home) in the last 10 years, without nay issues stripping the head. If you just relieve pressure on the big tank, but leave it mostly full, it's my experience that it has enough weight to hold while using a regular socket without impact.
