ARG.. I look for the $2/ month deal for Hulu in the fall every year and if it were more I could do with out. There is EVEN LESS to watch on Peacock but if someone is hooked on "Days of Our Lives" it will be the only place to see it. Yes I agree with the what in the world has this all come too sentiment.

I was watching the "Antenna Man" being Interviewed on a segment of LonTV. He indicated all the cord cutting is killing the "redistribution" revenue the local stations receive when you subscribe to any of the streaming, Cable, and satellite providers. The local stations are opting for more and more locally produced, and cheaper content . He indicated that is why DOL was moving to peacock. Then I remembered that Seal Team 6 went to Paramount+ only last year, The Orville went to Hulu (the main / only reason I have a Hulu subscription) went that way. And more are obviously on the way to cut the locals out of the revenue stream. This is bad IMHO. All the new stations that popped up when the 2008 Digital TV revamp are having the same issues. I read "MeTV" is leaving the air in 15-20 markets this year.. It is a very volatile time to be in the the tv industry for all the players as the tech has evolved. With the new ATC3 digital being phased in we might not have any programming to put on the air and make the transmitter upgrades less lucrative for the local station owners. I think I will Boycott peacock the same way I boycott comcrap.

I looked at the shows offered an agree the selection isn't great. Further, there is a large focus on Bravo/drama and lifestyle reality tv. I planned to switch from Hulu to this for the next year, but it won't be a good replacement...

Fyi Orville is on Disney+ commercial free.

Yeah I knew that but heck it wasn't until this month that it changed. The point is that a lot of stuff is going to be moving to subscription based streaming services and there's not much we can do about it. I guess it's love it or leave it in this case I leave it.

Hah, I assumed "premium" meant the ad free version
Came here to say the same thing, what a deceptive naming scheme.

Chase credit card offers have $3 back for Peacock premium subscriptions, so the same deal could be $16.99

I would consider buying a subscription for a year specifically to configure with Kodi. I already pay $79/mo. for legacy GoBig DTVstream (HBO+Max incl.) and there are no working methods other than to making it work alone (make m3u).

Not sure if the ad-version has iptv. I tried out the free version and while it is nice it is not the service I am looking for in terms of it working like Sling or PSvue..
Soo how the heck do you still pay 79$! We have had it since the beginning and they have raised it now to 109 with HBO and three streams. I'd have cut it by now but men and sports in my home outvoted me

I was just about to sign up today for the 1 year $19.99 offer, but when I went to the Peacock home page on my web browser to do it, there was a notice saying the service was free for xfinity and spectrum customers. I had never seen this notice before on the Peacock domain so I clicked on it and it went directly to the xfinity website where I signed into a relative's xfinity account (which I manage for her). This served to automatically link the xfinity account to Peacock and I now have free premium service.

The relative's xfinity account I am using has no internet on it -- just X1 TV. I had looked within that xfinity account a couple of times previously for a link to free Peacock premium service but could never find one. So I guess you need to get it by starting out at the Peacock website first in order to link your xfinity account. Note that the xfinity account I linked to my Peacock account has a different email address, so they don't need to match. And you don't need to order a flex streaming box.

I originally did the 3 months for $1/month offer this summer because I wanted to watch some MLB games. But I also enjoyed watching The Northman and JP Dominion (extended version) very much. And there is quite a lot of other content I've already added to my watch list. So even if I didn't get it for free, I would still have done this $19.99 deal. I think it's worth it at such a low price.

Ok, but you must have a pretty pricey plan on xfinity to get Netflix free also. The xfinity account I used to get free Peacock premium is one of their more basic/cheaper plans.
