I have this TV. I love that it sits so flush against the wall and uses the "one connect" cable so you only have one cable going to the actual TV. The art mode feature is a bit... meh... it's supposed to turn off and on with motion detection but I find that is pretty unreliable honestly. So I end up leaving it off most of the time.

But if you want a TV that looks nice on your wall with one easy-to-hide cable, it's hard to beat.

It wasn't during Prime Day pm - EDU for a 55" was $960 plus 2 additional frames.

The flush mount is nice, but don't you need room behind the TV for the box? Otherwise the cable is visible, no? That for me would ruin the whole "look like a picture" novelty.

The one cable is very slim and sort of translucent and it's super long. So most people put the box pretty far away. Mine is like six feet from the actual TV and then my Apple TV, PlayStation, etc are plugged in there. So it just saves you running a ton of HDMI cables behind the TV itself. And that one cable is pretty easy to hide.

For any TV if you dont want any wires to be seen you will have to run the cables inside the wall, but as was said: this TV uses one cable for power and all the inputs and the cable is very thin. So if you do see the wire it will only be one compared to any other TV where you will have one wire for power and one additional wire for each input.

To your question: the box that has all the inputs is relatively large and cannot be mounted behind the TV. It is meant to be kept in a shelf.

I have a Samsung TV with that type of a box. My comment was meant as an FYI, where with a regular mount, you may be able to hide the box behind the TV. If you have a slim mount that this TV comes with, you would need something like this mounted in the wall to hide everything: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07V4T8...ct_details

It's still visible, though, right? That would bug me Smilie

The one cable would still be visible, but it is still very convenient if you want to run a lot of inputs into a wall mount TV position. It can be a pain to add or subtract cables going through a pass through in your wall to get to wherever you choose to park your box and attached devices. Threading one thin cable is much simpler than multiple cables, not to mention the organization.

Generally TVs don't work as well as monitors, though I guess it depends on what monitor you're considering. Refresh rate is likely lower and the optimal viewing distance for a 40" TV is usually at least 5 feet. So unless you plan to mount to the wall or have a very deep desk, probably better to go with a monitor. This reddit has some info from someone who tried in store without great results.
