just an fyi, many Walmarts still have the 14.1 i5 16gb ram, 512gb ssd on sale for 250. I snagged one, im watching though incase price decreases, will go and price adjust or do return rebuy @ 150.
read one or two peoples stores had them knocked to 150, but its 250 at all my local stores. I read price drops typically happen first 5 days into month, so if it drops, it'll be possible this week
im very happy with the 14.1 though seems solid, touchpad is nice enough, speakers absolutely suk balls. but its snappy, upgraded to new windows, and removed bloatware, its excellent.

I read theres a comment on the slick deal page about W11 upgrade I had zero issue upgrading to W11.
I opened box, let windows update everything fully in W10. then after that, and a restart or two, it said "upgrade to W11!" did that, then used a debloater script all Gucci. really fast, responsive, I adjusted the touchpad to my preferences. then I downloaded a driver updater program, let it go and find all the updated drivers.
works good. no issues. speakers are fine, but nothing to write home about.
only complaint I guess, and its petty, but im a MacBook user, only bought this because I needed a windows laptop for a program I need for my motorcycle, is you cant tap "the very edge of backspace" for it register, maybe its because its a larger laptop than my MacBook, but my pinky, tends to tap the very furthest left side of backspace, but that same space on my MacBook would be center of backspace.
it doesnt register, needs to be more of a center click, but thats a minor complaint its just me edge tapping backspace and not triggering it with enough pressure. user error

I read a lot of negative things about the 15 inch gateways, screen separating, due to lack of rigidity. the 14.1 seem sturdy, cant see that happening with it.

never mind, I should have kept reading. got the link, ty!
I'm so confused. there was a store showing 2-3 on brickseek a couple weekends ago but sold out last Monday. It's coming up 2-3 again. I was pretty bummed to miss this, going to have to make the drive to check it out.
