Was able to cancel the shop towels so for just the oil it was $18.24 each.
$36.48 - $25.00 = $11.48 + tax for 10 quarts

This great rebate deal has been around for a few months. When it first came out, I called Pennzoil to confirm this. The answer was that yes, it is OK to submit 4x 5qt purchases on the same form, but ONLY if they were all bought on the same receipt.

I had already hedged my bets, buying 2x5 qts in 2 separate purchases in-store at Home Depot, so she said I should submit two rebates on two different forms. I did that and got paid very promptly, within about 4 weeks, received by email, and within minutes had redeemed it as Amazon GCs, and loaded them to my Amazon account.

Actually some manufacturers like Valvoline suggest there is no set shelf-life, and some have lab tested decades old oils and concluded that they're fine (look up Blackstone eBay oils). I'd say it's probably indefinite when properly stored, but the API standards change.

It seems so. I believe it said it would take up to 6 weeks to process then I would get an email that would allow me to select the gift card and I should get it very shortly after selecting it. I was trying to find out whats on the list but Pennzoil doesnt provide that it seems until the processing is done. I imagine that allows them to change the options at any time. While searching for it I found a forum about a similar rebate but in Canada and it indicated that Amazon(.ca) was on the list. If Amazon is on the list for this then its as good as cash for me. But I guess in another month or so I should know more...

Its weird. They are charging $16.76 for the paper towels and $6.05 on the receipt I have. Maybe you can return the towels for almost $17 refund after?

Just got my rebate link after about 3 to 4 weeks. Amazon is near the top of the list of available merchants, and that's the one I chose. I did not look at any others beyond that since that one is as good as cash for me. The gift card is then sent via email, but I haven't received it yet.

I submitted two rebates on 8/31 got both rebates 9/29 and 10/3. They'll send you a link with a bunch of gift card options. You can choose multiple gift cards equal to $25. I didn't check to see what's all available because I was only interested in Amazon.

On a separate note. Walmart receipt is itemized, the oil is ~$17 and the paper towel is ~$5, so you can cancel the paper towels if given the option. Or you can return it for an extra ~$5 off. Some people were given the option to cancel the paper towel because they ran out of stock.
