These are for long term storage for emergencies. If you need to open one of these cans, the last thing you'll be worrying about is how healthy the calories are.

Because there's a huge time and process involved in dehydrating food. Obviously people can justify the expense.

My thoughts exactly. I thought this would be a freeze-dried product like other deals I've seen, and I would've happily bought it if so, but these are nearer to banana chips that are essentially fried

1lbs of banana is 35 cent in Costco. 2lbs of dry banana why is this a good deal? Anyone?

Yeah it's literally one of the most calorie dense fruits it has enough flavor in it already, i saw the strawberry ones of this on sale last time but i can get cheap frozen ones so i passed on it. I can also get cheap bananas and freeze them too but i really was interested in these banana chips for like easy toppings on yogurt or cereal or even oatmeal for when i dont want fresh or frozen fruit just want that crunchy texture

"We take only the finest all natural bananas.... then we Americanize them by pouring lots of un-needed oil and sugar all over them"

It's 2022... people are waking up... crap food is not worth any price.

Probably becasue they are "chips". Chips are typically fried with oil. It's a snack. A treat. Crunchy and sweet. Shelf stable.

Folks seem to be thinking this is some sort of health food? And you can do far worse than these as a treat.
