Yes. Torque is great for live data and clearing the ECU codes.
But does not typically communicate with TCM, ABS, etc for those codes.
Plus it does resets/coding for like Steering Angle and Throttle body.
If you keep scrolling down in the image gallery of the product description it does say lifetime updates, how long will the company be around is another issue. It also specifies that the 5 service fun tons don't work with every vehicle and messaging them with the vin so they can verify its compatability.

Can't say 100% since I don't have this scanner but a lot of the advance scanners have the ability to command vehicle functions. Some of the things you can do are command fans on, command modules, etc. If it doesn't do bidirectional communication you probably can't do that.
