Good question. Asking myself the same thing. Was about to make the drive to Microcenter for the 11700k and Asus z590 TUF mobo at 300 but this seems like it may be an overall better deal. I know not everyone likes Newegg anymore, but essentially for 70 dollars difference to have the better mobo, an i9, and a game, and esp not having to drive 4 hours, seems worth it. Somehow they have the game at 145 dollar value?

I personally think it is. This board checks the boxes for me with 3x pci express slots a ssd slot and 6x sata ports. Its not going to be the latest and greatest gaming machine but should be the basis of a pretty nice PC upgrade. I dont really value the game at all.
The microcenter deal didn't do that and required me to spend money on gas (only about 2 hours roundtrip for me).

Yeah agree about the game. Does not do anything for me either. Wonder if we could sell for 40 bucks or so? Hard to make the decision on the motherboard. i don't need the PCI slots, but surprised the more expensive unify version only has 1.
I jumped on this. I wanted a 12th Gen i7, but the price pulled this in for me. I went with the Unify MoBo for 20 bucks more. Gonna pair it with my RTX 3070ti.

Am I losing much going with an 11 Gen over a 12th Gen? Still better than what I have but I thought I would ask.
The most important thing you lose is upgrade path. 11th gen is on the LGA 1200 socket, so you wont be able to upgrade to future generations of CPUs. If you go 12th gen now, that's LGA 1700 and you will be able to use 13th gen and possibly beyond.

Its arguably a slicker deal as you save a lot more off MSRP and get some additional connectivity features but you lose one of the PCI express 16 slot.
