I was with them for 20+ years and finally left them in 2021 when they wouldn't offer anything reasonable. These prices are likely just in markets where consumers have choices. Thankfully, many can get home internet from Verizon or T-Mobile now and it is putting pressure on AT&T and cable companies.

Edit: Based on comments so far and Spectrum requirements to enter your exact address in order to see rates, it is possible you might only see listed rates if your address has had Spectrum/Charter service in the past. Actually saw this price via Facebook ad. So, unless FB shares exact address with advertisers, they wouldn't know I had service before. If Spectrum is the only option in your area, no reason for them to offer these rates. This is very address dependent.

$50/mo, unlimited data, and speeds of 400-700 mbps are commonplace... Dump cable internet.
If you're unsure about making the switch, try it for a month before dumping the cable internet. You have about a month to return everything IIRC. If you don't like it, send it back and keep your cable internet. It's easy peasy.
Up to 300 Mbps - $49.99
Up to 500 Mbps - $69.99
Up to 1 Gbps - $89.99
TLDR; you used to be considered a new customer if you cancelled for a month.
I asked some agents about it, and they said the address needed to be without service for a month, which I don't believe.
I'm currently paying $75 per month for 300mbit...
I was considering Verizon Ultra-Wide Band, but I'm not in their service area. One thing to keep in mind, if you require a dedicated IP from a cell carrier, good luck. They all use CGNAT, which means you're sharing IP addresses with other people.

I live chatted with Spectrum earlier today when I saw this deal. The first rep told me that my address doesn't have Spectrum service available, and after providing her with my account number and telling her that I'm currently chatting with her with my Spectrum internet at the same address, she told me that I was eligible for $39.99 a month for 24 months for 500Mbps, which is surprising since these deals are usually not available for existing customers. I agreed and she said she signed me up and told me to wait 30-45 minutes for the upgrade and the confirmation email.
An hour later, my internet speed was still the same and I received no confirmation email, so I chatted again and was told that there was no order placed and that I would need to call to upgrade. Then another rep told me that the pricing is for new customers only and told me that I never chatted with them earlier and that I'm lying. I wish there was another provider in the area but I guess I'm stuck with them.
