I was with them for 20+ years and finally left them in 2021 when they wouldn't offer anything reasonable. These prices are likely just in markets where consumers have choices. Thankfully, many can get home internet from Verizon or T-Mobile now and it is putting pressure on AT&T and cable companies.

Unclear how long these prices are good, but they are current at http://www.spectrum.com when you enter your address and ask for rates (provided you live in select market). I had switched to AT&T and had a great rate lock for 300 Mbps, but with no contract, pays to move for what might be 30-60% less. Rate should be good for existing Spectrum customers too, so call for PM! - Ok, maybe not, but worse case they say no.

Edit: Based on comments so far and Spectrum requirements to enter your exact address in order to see rates, it is possible you might only see listed rates if your address has had Spectrum/Charter service in the past. Actually saw this price via Facebook ad. So, unless FB shares exact address with advertisers, they wouldn't know I had service before. If Spectrum is the only option in your area, no reason for them to offer these rates. This is very address dependent.

figures, they finally wired my folk's area for FIOS (like 6 square blocks that were due 4yrs ago) - still $49.99 / 300 though ($25 promo / 1yr). seems the same in most metro areas

Been paying regular price for Gigabit Internet $114.99/month. I called and stated to the automated system that I wanted to cancel. I then got transferred to someone I assumed was in Retentions. I just said I wanted to cancel service since it was too expensive. I expected a drawn out process of trying to get me to keep service or to downgrade service, but the representative said right away she would help lower my bill and throw in free cellular service for a year. Ended up getting gig internet for the new customer price in my area for $89.99/month and free 1 year of Spectrum Mobile after payment of 1st month of $45.

I called the cancellation line at (833) 267-6094. I let them know that I had switched to Verizon 5G Home and was cancelling. They asked why and I let them know that Verizon was only $25 dollars and was faster. I was up to $75 for the 200 plan on Spectrum. I said as soon as Verizon arrived I pulled around 250 with them while I was only getting 125 with Spectrum. They offered me the 500 plan for 49.99 plus upgraded equipment which I declined. So far Verizon 5G home has been great so I will stick with them for $25 right now. ATT Fiber just moved into our area so I expect competition if I need to go back.

My existing service shuts off on 26th. I ordered the new service and received the modem in the mail. I won't be activating the new modem until the day before the 26th, so I am not double paying (not even for 1 day). Billing starts when you activate or 8 days after your initial order date (whichever is earlier). On the 25th, i will disconnect the old modem and connect and activate the new modem, then return the old modem back to spectrum. There is no service interruption. Since Spectrum do not issue pro-rated refund, they can't turn off your service for that you already paid for. Whenever they raise prices or promotional rate expires and their retention group refuse to offer new customer rate, rinse and repeat. A spectrum employee even told me this trick when I was setting up new service for my parents a while back.

CS said no promos but as soon as I got to retention dept they gave me 500mb for $50/mo and free mobile for a year
